Fancy a shower at 40,000 Ft? Flying First Class with Emirates A380

Fancy a shower at 40,000 Ft? Flying First Class with Emirates A380

I recently donned on my fancy pants and waltzed into the Emirates First Class. Flying may never be the same for me, to say the least. Flying First Class with Emirates has been an absolute jaw dropping experience for me. From the softest PJ’s to wear onboard to being asked when to reserve the Shower Spa, you are in for a real ROYAL treat.

I got to experience this epicness as I flew from Sydney to Dubai. The 14 hour flight felt so short, if I had my way, I would surely have requested the pilot to fly around for at least an hour more before landing. My flight experience without a doubt was incredible. From Caviar to bottomless Dom Perignon to bathrooms you can sleep in, plain ridiculously incredible.

You do not have to break your bank to fly first class. You can use your Skyward Miles for an upgrade or your credit card points to experience this luxury. The Points Guy is your certified expert on maximizing your travel options.

Remember the Emirates advertisement  starring Jen? In Emirates First Class, every passenger gets their own suite. If you are traveling with your partner, you can opt for the middle seating where the partition can be lowered.

EMIRATES FIRST CLASS PJ’s

As soon as you are seated, your personal concierge (Yes! Each passenger is assigned a staff!) will come to check on you and hand over your Bvlgari toiletry kit and PJ’s in your size. These pajamas are the world’s first moisturizing sleepwear ever to be developed for an airline. Crafted with Shea butter and Argan oil, your body will remain moisturized throughout the flight. You can buy these PJ’s retail at the Emirates Store.

EMIRATES FIRST CLASS ONBOARD LOUNGE

Shared by both Business & First Class passengers, this lounge gave me room to do a few stretches and mingle with other fellow travelers.

THE FIRST CLASS LOUNGE IN SYDNEY

First Class passengers have the option to use both the Qantas and the Emirates lounge at Sydney airport. You are permitted to bring a guest, who must be traveling on the same flight. The lounge has a lovely bar and restaurant with à la carte menu. The Emirates lounge has a buffet setting. If you have access to a first class lounge anywhere, first thing you need to do is check for its spa and book an appointment prior to reaching the airport. Spa’s in these lounges are very popular and busy, so booking in advance is the best way to use it.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN EMIRATES FIRST CLASS & BUSINESS CLASS

I had the chance to fly Business from Dubai to Sydney and loved the experience. The major differences I felt between First & Business Class were foremost the seating. The seats are only partially covered in Business unlike in First Class, where you get a cabin that ensures absolute privacy.

When it comes to food, there are no meal times as such on First Class and you can order food as and when you feel like eating from a very impressive menu. Ofcourse, Caviar is served in First Class. In Business Class, there are dedicated meal times and meals won’t be served outside those hours. On the bright side, there is a good selection of light bites that are available throughout the flight.

The lavatory in Business is slightly bigger than Economy with a few toiletry amenities. While in First, the lavatory comes fully equipped with a shower cubicle and a dressing area, an amazing range of bath products, not to mention its sheer size.

The Onboard Lounge- Emirates Airlines signature horse-shoe shaped bar is shared by both Business & First Class passengers.

The First Class products are unparalleled. You are given Pajamas, a crammed toiletry kit filled to the brim with products in addition to moisturizers, pillow sprays, perfumes and other skin care products.

Last but not the least, First Class offers bottomless Dom Perignon! ’nuff said!

On a serious note, I felt Business class is equally good and offers you all those luxuries you crave on a long haul flight.

IS FLYING FIRST CLASS WITH EMIRATES WORTH IT

I am glad that my first experience traveling ‘First Class’ was with Emirates. Though the math is discouraging, for those who can afford it, it is well worth every single penny. It also brings about a serious case of what I call the “First Class High”, an extremely addictive experience that alters your perceptions.
